Recording engineer Phil Rynhart was the bass player in Poormouth, who stood in at the last minute for Strawbs on the devastating occasion of our keyboard player Chris Parren losing his young son, Ashley. Phil called me to say his studio was functioning commercially and Cathryn and I spent the next couple of years making this album with him, interrupted by family crises for all three of us and a burglary which robbed us of our original artwork! Not to be put off, we soldiered through and we are very proud of the results Phil achieved.
Brian Willoughby

My Dad played accordion on "The Green Glens of Antrim", my parents' favourite song. Phil introduced us to the brilliance of classical violinist Antonia Pagulatos and our great friend Dennis Bryon played drums.

Country Music People

"…assured performers with formidable story-telling abilities"
Record Collector

"…delicately picked guitar reminiscent of the English folk-rock that Willoughby has helped to define…Craig's alto is a dramatic instrument, and Willoughby's army of guitars conjures compelling settings"
Dirty Linen

"Refined, mature and with shafts of emotion aimed straight at your heart."
Musician Magazine

"Looking at the track listing before getting hold of "Calling All Angels", it seemed as if it was a "Greatest hits" album. I am lucky enough to have been able to see Brian Willoughby and Cathryn Craig live quite a few times, so these tracks are like old friends. It's kind of strange to think that most of them haven't appeared on record before. If these songs are new to you, you are in for a treat."
